Portland to Bagby

I will be doing my first bike camping trip with a friend this week. Looks like we will be going up to Bagby. I know how to get to Estacada but from there out to Bagby is a mystery to me. Any recommendations? Favorite route, roads to avoid etc?

The first part of this ride will take you most of the way there. There are signs for Bagby when you get past Ripplebrook.

I highly reccomend it! Just skip the Clackamas to Estacada stretch during rush hour. There is no shoulder and many large trucks. Want the ride report? My blog is at shhambo.livejournal.com.
