Hi everyone. I haven't posted in here in aeons. Anyway, I made an animated video map showing the five climbs from Highway 30 up to Skyline Blvd. Pretty popular cycling roads, once your legs are up for it. I much prefer these roads to get to Skyline to riding up Cornell personally, due to traffic. Anyway, I used Google Earth, Final Cut Pro, Topo! and a few other programs to create the thing. My VO sucks, but I'm no Phil Liggett. I hope you enjoy and find it useful.
Here's the link to it on YT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8XSI51gdng It's in HD, so hit the HD button to view the high quality version. I'm hoping to do more of these in the future if anyone has any personal favorite climbs I'll add them to the list. |

That's pretty good! Thanks!
(I like the documentary tone, as well) |

As a newcomer to Portland stuff like this is invaluable to me - thank you for the effort and please consider doing more! I love learning about new routes. I have yet to make my way over to Hillsboro yet.

Nice job on the video! I can personally attest that riding Skyline early last Sunday morning was magnificent (But I went down McNamee, not up!) Maybe you need to look at the 'easy' routes to the top next (Sunset - Dosch - Humphrey), or there's going up Montgomery from downtown. Lot's of ways to get high legally in PDX.
