Sent to me by Dana
Ok Ladies: Less than a week to go to Ladies Nite at the Hollywood Bike Gallery. Monday Nov 6th. Shopping with a 20% discount will be from 6-7pm. We will have wine, and food. We will meet at 7 and discuss women's events for 2007, and have a flat changing clinic. For everyone who brings their front tire with the tools to change a flat (tire levers) and actually is able to change their flat (we will help) they will win a free tube. We will also have some great door prizes and gift give away. You do need to be present to win. So come on down, feel free to invite your friends, but this evening is for women only. Let's have a fun evening as we welcome fall. It would also help if you would RSVP [danabarnes@bikegallery.com] if you are coming so I can make sure we have enough wine and food.

Great to see some of you at the Bike Gallery Ladies' Night. After riding in the beautiful rain I was happy to buy some waterproof socks and windproof gloves.
It also sounds like Dana has some incredible rides and events planned for us in 2007. I can't wait. And don't forget the Bike Gallery's fashion show on December 11th. I am sure you can check out their website for more information. Be safe out there. Cheers.

Hello everyone, wanted to remind you about our next brown bag here at the City. It should be very informative. Hope to see you there. Cheers.
Legislative issues of interest to cyclists Thursday, February 15th, 12:00 - 1:00 pm, Portland Building auditorium Is the fresh air blowing through the halls of power a tail wind for cyclists? February’s Bicycle Brown Bag will feature two speakers well-positioned to bring us news from the front of the legislative peleton: Karmen Fore, District Director, Office of Congressmember Peter A. DeFazio, will report on how the 110th Congress is shaping up for bikes. Rep. DeFazio is the new chair of the House Highways and Transit Subcommittee. Scott Bricker, Director of Policy and Education at the Bicycle Transportation Alliance, will talk about how bike and pedestrian issues are faring in this year’s state legislative session. Transportation Options offers the Bicycle Brown Bag Series on the third Thursday of every month. We meet from noon to 1PM at the Portland Building, 1120 SW 5th Ave - second floor auditorium. For more information, please contact Timo Forsberg at 503-823-7699 or timothy.forsberg@pdxtrans.org.
